BEST RORY MCILROY INTERVIEW

Since winning the U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club last month, Rory "Nick Faldo" McIlroy's media requests have been through the roof.

In my opinion, ESPN's recent interview with Rory was the best because it offers the best perspective of what growing up in Holywood, Northern Ireland was like.

Of all the reasons why Rory might become one of the greatest golfers of all time, the fact that Rory comes from a working class background in a small town in a small country might prove to be the most important. Holywood is proud to have one of its own achieve greatness, however, Rory is still able to maintain a relative level of normalcy when he goes home, which is important. Many athletes struggle with the fame that comes with success but Holywood seems like a place a refuge for the Ulsterman.

I hope the fact that he has a cookie named after himself doesn't go to his head.
