Lightning Strikes Twice For Jordan Spieth By Torleif Sorenson on 6/4/14
Last summer, a then-19-year-old Jordan Spieth hole this bunker shot to get into a playoff at the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run:
Spieth won that playoff to capture the first of what should be many PGA Tour titles. On Monday, June 2, Spieth was back in the Quad Cities to participate in the 2014 John Deere Classic's media event. Somebody had the brilliant idea to have Spieth go back out to the green-side bunker at the 18th hole and try to recreate the game-tying shot that forced overtime. Fortunately, they brought a video recorder: An old myth says that lightning never strikes twice in the same place — a fallacy that any chief engineer for any radio or television station transmitter antenna will quickly debunk. But it also turns out that Jordan Spieth doesn't buy into the myth, either. Yeah, he's that good. Watch an interesting golf video? Tip Your Editor! [ comments ] sunnyyadav0390 says:
