This 6100-yard parkland course lies along the west shore of Lake Phalen in Minnesota's capital city. The course opened in 1913, but was completely redesigned in 1975 by the late architect Don Herfort. A protected practice range, putting green, and separate practice bunker / short-game area are available, while the clubhouse can host meetings and receptions for up to 225 people.

The golf season normally runs from April through October, but is extended if weather permits. In the winter, Phalen Golf Course provides 10K of groomed intermediate-level cross-country ski trails with equipment rental and concessions.

The standard walking rates are $30 on weekdays, $33 on weekends (carts are $15). Junior, twilight, and 9-hole discounts are available, as are season passes.
