Nothing special about the place, just a decent old public course. Range is sort of unique. You hit into a tree filled area as opposed to the normal open field of grass. The sound of balls ricocheting off trees fills the air.

Great little course.
Best part of the course is obviously the value. It's $20 to walk 18 holes during the week or weekends after 1.
The course is very walkable, with most tee boxes being within 30 yards of the previous green.
Pace of play can be hit or miss, but is generally better than similar local courses. I played the past weekend in a walking threesome and we finished in 3 hours 30 minutes. The staff is generally more proactive about maintaining the pace than I've seen at other courses. While I've never seen them tell someone to speed up or skip holes, they will let groups know to allow faster players to play through.
I didn't rate the maintenance of the course very highly, but that's really only because it's obvious they're not spending money remodeling the clubhouse or repaving cart paths. The facilities may be dated, but they are clean and adequate.
Course maintenance is good though. The fairways are usually in good condition, and while the greens aren't gonna be on tour any time soon, I find them to be in better condition with fewer pock marks than other public courses in the area.
The course is not the most challenging in the area, but the there is sufficient variety in the holes that you'll be using more of the clubs in your bag. Fairways are broad, but the hazards are placed well and if you miss the fairway you'll likely find your ball, but it'll be behind or under a pine tree.
