Sweetwater debuted in 1982 with nine holes; the second nine opened shortly thereafter and hosted the LPGA Hall of Fame Classic in 1984 and 1985. This is now a 36-hole facility - and one of the more highly-ranked courses in the Houston region.

While this is a private country club, they do occasionally host outside events and tournaments on Mondays.
