The two 18-hole courses here are named in memory of George V. Underwood, Jr., a four-star general in the United States Army. The Sunset Course dates to 1934, while the Sunrise Course is a Ken Dye design that opened in 1995.

As the course is located on Fort Bliss (Bldg 3193), an active military installation, check ahead for civilian access and availability. Veterans and soldiers who are part of the Wounded Warrior project are afforded special rates; memberships are also available.
