Really nice course--but difficult.

Starting with the good news.
Conditioning - Well maintained course
no complaints
no Bev Cart service the day I played.
Halfway house well positioned.
Pro Shop - small with basic apparel
Club House - nice with bar and dining area
Fairways - great condition
Bunker - good fine sand
Greens - Nearly US Open speed. around 10-11 on the stimp the day I played. Got this from the directly from the greens keeper. A lot of spines and undulations on the greens.
Hazards - Water comes into play on many holes. numerous bunkers in good shape
Staff - The staff was great, nice, polite helpful, except for halfway house.
For Garmin G5 users the 9's were reversed
at some point.
The Bad news.
Tight OB on every hole. White stakes lining the Cart path. This isn't about golf, it's about selling homes on a golf course.
If you are mid to high handicapper, skip this course. you probably won't like it shooting 100 and loosing a dozen balls.
Perhaps if they don't build the planned houses and go back and rethink the course layout this could be a great course.

Very challenging course, there are many risk reward options. 17 and 18 are two great finishing holes. The location is a bit remote, but worth the trip.

Played this course for the first time on 8/28/13. Our foursome got a great deal for a round and while it's quite a drive to get to, it was worth it ! Generally wide but undulating fairways and the greens were hard and fast during our round which proved to be the most challenging part of playing the course. There are also a few forced-carry holes from the tee boxes so anyone playing it should really consider the tee-boxes they play from. The pin placements for the day were very difficult especially since I don't recall ever having seen the pin on a flat location. Overall, I would come back to play this course - very scenic, friendly staff, a great clubhouse ! The only downside I saw was that there were so many ballmarks on greens which were clearly not repaired during play.

What a beautiful golf course. This is my first time playing this course. I have been wanting to play for the last two years. I will not be waiting that long for my second round. I like everything about this golf course. Course was in excellent condition even considering all the rain over the last few days. Greens are pure. Great variety of holes. Great bunkering. Great golf course.

This is a great layout. It;s not your typical course in this area where anyone who can hit it 240 and straight off the tee plays wedge approaches all day. This one makes you THINK on a lot of holes. This course is in great shape, greens roll true. All carts have a GolfLogix GPS unit, and the starter is very nice. A fully stocked Halfway house which you can stop at after 4, 11, and 14. The only thing missing is a classic clubhouse, which I would expect to come in time.
