This private course and luxury residential community boasts a John Fought / Tom Lehman design that is purposely echoes designs by Ross, Tillinghast, Thomas, and MacKenzie. Golf Digest ranked Somerby 8th on their "best new private courses" list in 2005, and the Audubon Society gave Somerby their "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" designation.

Somerby hosted the final two editions of the Nationwide Tour's Scholarship America Showdown in 2006 (Brandt Snedeker) and 2007 (Chris Riley).
