The Blue/Red Course has three ponds that come into play on five holes. Some of the tees are elevated, and the fairways are tree lined. The White Course is mostly flat and very walkable. The fairways are plush and the greens are medium in size and speed. No water comes into play on this course, however there are several sand bunkers. "Golf Digest" rated the Blue/White combination as the 6th "Best Public Course" in Connecticut in 1996.

Stanley is one of the best deals in CT. In 2010, they had a special going Mon-Thu, where you could get 18 w/cart, hot dog, and soda for $34. For the price and amount of rounds played, they do a nice job with maintenance. I will definitely be back a couple times this year.
