We stayed at the Clearwarter Resort and played the course three times. I would not recommend staying at the Resort, but playing the course was great. The course and resort have different owners. I would recommend staying at Terrace Downs Resort, about and hour away. The Terrace Downs course in a must play while in New Zealand.
