The attractive 27-hole layout was designed by Alberta-based architect Les Furber. The original eighteen holes meander through stands of oak and poplar before winding its way through the remains of an old quarry. In July of 1998, the Desert nine opened for play -- also a Les Furber design, it is meant to echo desert-style courses in Phoenix and Palm Springs.

Not the most scenic course but at $45 for 18 and a cart on a challenging (Played quarry/Desert) it is a great course. Need to hit the ball straight, lots of narrow fairways and hitting to a spot (vs. hammer away).

Greens are in great shape for this time of the year. Just air rated the greens but you'd never know it. It just changed ownership so keep an eye out for what will happen.
