The Dakota Indian word Chaska translates to "Great White Deer," which is appropriate for this course, which opened in 1975 with a design by the late architect Larry Packard. The course is spread over 200 acres of terrain, while four sets of tees stretch from 4,717 to 6,912 yards.

The standard walking rates are $30 on weekdays, $32 on weekends and holidays (carts are $16/person). Junior, senior, and twilight rates are available.
