In 2007, this course was renamed in honor of Illinois State University graduate and former PGA Tour player D.A. Weibring, who redesigned this course in 2000-01. (The course originally opened in 1964 with a design by Robert Bruce Harris.) Not surprisingly, the long-range plans for this course include a new teaching and practice facility.
