While the club was formed in 1912, the course opened with nine holes in 1922, and underwent the latest modifications to the 18-hole layout in 2001.

Visitors are welcome after 3:00 pm on weekdays and weekends, the weekday walking rate is £20, while the weekend is £25. Groups and societies are also welcome with prior arrangement.
