The design team’s primary goal was to build a high-profile, 7,049-yard golf course versatile enough to challenge top level amateur and professional players, yet also "user-friendly" for average players from the multiple sets of forward tees.
The member’s tees are placed to allow shorter carries or alternate routes over or around the hazards. Strategically located tees and bunkers ensure that while the course offers wide, forgiving fairways, it still places a premium on accuracy.
Approaches and entrances to the moderately sized, mildly contoured greens are open in front to allow run-up shots. The green surrounds feature close-cropped collars and extended chipping areas, forcing low handicap players to make decisions (bump-and-run vs. lob shot), yet inviting higher handicappers to use a putter.
Design features allow for proper turf maintenance and superior conditioning in order to highlight the character and playability of the course.
The spacious practice facility was designed to meet the needs of the membership.

Membership is available only to Apes Hill residents. Any guests must be accompanied by a member.
