I was really pleasantly surprised by the course. The hospitality was off the charts as we were greeted by the "friendliest man in Texas," who also displayed proper Southern Manners. The course was very well maintained, especially after it had been closed for some time and re-opened by the City of Jacksonville. The course was very picturesque and the shots were framed well. The greens were very nice and consistent--no pitch marks or other signs of abuse. The carts were a bit suspect, but given the course history, things will improve with time. This course was such a surprise that I will return again--soon!
