This Ronald Fream design has been selected by Golf Digest as one of "America's Top 50 Public Courses to Play." The course plays over 260 acres of rolling forestland and wetlands, lined with thousands of alder, fir, and cedar trees. Water comes into play on only two holes, while only 34 bunkers dot the course — almost all of them green-side.

The course is owned by the County of Snohomish and currently operated by Access Golf Management of Redmond WA. The course is one of the northern-most in the United States, located just 1.5 miles from the Canadian Border in Snohomish County.

The summer walking rates are $33 on weekdays, then $44 on weekends and holidays (carts are $13).

Despite the official Marine Drive address, the course is actually located on 150th Place NW, about one mile east of Marine Drive.
