This course is owned by the City of Marietta, operated by Classic Golf, and is located near Marietta Square.

It opened with nine holes in 1915 on the former site of the Georgia Military Institute, while the second nine opened in the early 1960s. The City of Marietta bought the property and then engaged architect Mike Young to do a redesign of the course, which opened to the public in the fall of 1991.

The standard walking rates are $48/weekdays and $58 weekends, although a variety of midday, twilight, junior, senior, and cardholder discounts are available.

Greens were half poa anna and inconsistent. Typical course for a muni with a lot of traffic. Not in very good shape.

Course in good shape for spring time. Great diversity in holes. Love to play this one when in Atlanta. Good value for a real nice course.

They have almost lost the greens. Terrible shape!Had a member of the maintenance crew zoom in a golf cart while are party was putting. I was in the middle of my backstroke. He proceeds to start watering while were still putting. I didn't know enough Spanglish to tell him off.

just remember when you go that its in ATL so the course is tight in spots but well taken care of for the amount of people play it
