Newman GC is owned and operated by the Peoria Park District and dates to 1931. Some steep terrain includes moderate ravines, deep bunkers, and hundreds of mature trees. The course plays from 5,593 to 6,838 yards. The standard walking rate here is $23; carts are $14. Junior, senior, and 9-hole rates are also available, as are season passes.

Architect Bob Lohmann and senior project architect Todd Quitno are overseeing a renovation over the summer of 2015. The project is designed to replace and improve the putting surfaces and solve major drainage problems.
