This parkland-style course opened as a private club in 1937, was purchased by the City of Golden Valley in 1969, and has been open to the public ever since. In fact, the city operates the course as a revenue enterprise; no tax money goes to support the operation.

Bassett Creek flows through six holes on the main course, while other water is in play on eleven others.

The walking rates here are $35/18 holes and $19/9 holes on the regulation course, while the par-3 course rate is $12.50.

They really need to "MOVE" the golf course, after 23 years in the business, the fairways are good but the rough is unbelievable
