Introduced in 1983, the "Plus" variation of the Ping Eye 2 irons and wedges featured stronger lofts than the original Pine Eye 2s, along with a scalloped sole for better playability with less effective bounce. Also, the grooves on the Plus models were spaced farther apart.
The standard version featured a tumbled Guyson finish.
