Me, Charlie and Perry. Nobody in our way. Went back to first tee. Drove the ball OK but too many fades. Couple of pop ups. Missed three greens from under 120. Hit some great shots but went south at the end. 16, 17, 18 were pathetic. Putting was horrible.
These greens were aerated about a week ago and they are bumpy and heavily sanded. No excuse for some of the bonehead shots I threw at em. My problem is between my ears.
How about a little recap of this circus.
1. Missed green from 100 yds. 2. 3 putt from 20'. 3. Missed green from 80 yds. Lucky chip to 4'. 4. 3 putt from 30'. 5. 3 putt from 20'.
I figure I've lost 4 strokes to this point.
6. Good par. 7. Fat tee shot short. 8. Pop up drive on one of my favorite holes. Figures. 9. Best approach I've ever hit to this green from 110. 10. Missed green from 80 yds. Chipped on. 11. Good hole. 12. This is one of my toughest holes and I reached in two. Second shot uphill. 3 putt. G..DAMN. 13. Great par. 14. Good par. 15. Today it was playing about 540 uphill. 16. This hole owns me. I've hit everything in my bag at this thing. Soft driver sliced left with no shot to green. 17 Missed green from 110. Complete F-up. 18. Just a disaster off the tee.
There was a tournament this morning and a friend asked me why I didn't get in it. I don't know why anyone would pay the entry fee to putt on shit.
