40*. Foggy and drizzle rain when we started. Absolutely deserted. This was the only course open today and I couldn't believe it. Charlie and I had to go.
All ponds frozen over. Fairways saturated. Holding water in all the low areas. Greens had standing water in the lower spots and some residual snow on a few. Pins frozen in the cup. This was extreme golf at its best.
We played what appeared to be a gold/red combo. Basically wherever the forward tee was. As a result of the lousy conditions we noticed that our tee shots ended up where they would normally be on a normal weather day. I hit some great shots and putted very well resulting in a nice score. But as we made the turn it stated pouring. We knew the window of opportunity was now closed. Decided to hang it up. Try again tomorrow.
