Started on #10.
45 degrees, cloudy and a slight breeze of around 5 mph. We were the first ones out at 9:00am
Fairways had all been aerated very recently. In fact two had been done this morning and had not been "dragged" yet so they were a mess. Played lift & place in the fairway. Greens were form and speeds were very quick. It looked like they had not changed the hole locations in a few days - they were beat up.
I was hitting good drives, not that one would notice as the temperatures and soft aerated fairways made a 200 yard drive hard to get. My short game was good as was my putting. Irons and hybrid/woods were okay.
I came to #9, my last hole, figuring a bogey would be pretty good since the fairway looked like a freshly plowed field. I purposely hit to the left side rough to avoid the aeration. Hit a perfect drive. Then decided to play up the left side rough to avoid the fairway. Dumb idea. I hit a decent shot but it got too close to the trees and my 3rd shot swing was obstructed. Had to pitch out into the plowed field and took a double. Sigh.
CeeBee says:Hey Brian. Decent round in lousy conditions. Jealous. I don’t describe conditions very often after a round but Our fairways have also been aerated (plowed). Been wet all year it seems. Pins often stay in same spot for a week as of late. Tough going.

DougEly says:Mr. Seventy Seven, Mr. Seventy Eight. Last week you were Mr. Seventy Nine. So your last name changes here and there but Mr. Seventy Something works most days for you. Seventy for short.
Nice playing.
