Quick nine after the drive home from FL. Hit the ball okay, but elbow and shoulder not good. Hit 6i off tee to 2 feet on 6th for bird. Realistic birdie chances on 2, 8 and 9 also, all under 10 feet. Probably could have played most of back nine before dark, but decided against trying, as elbow needed a rest. Maybe tomorrow in the rain.
The course set up sucks now. The blue tees are way back on the black teeing areas on many holes and the whites are sometimes up on the red teeing areas. So, I am playing mixed tees right now. In the cold there is no way for me to hit it far enough from the blacks, so when the blues are back there, I am playing either the whites if they are not all the way forward, or else I am just sticking a tee in the ground somewhere on the designated blue box. Fuck them. I realize they're trying to give the regular tee boxes some healing time, but make temporary tees that correspond to the distance on the card, for Christ's sake. A 470 yard par 4 from the "blue" tees in 45* temps and soft conditions is ridiculous for me at my age. Sorry superintendent. I'm hitting from wherever the hell I want!
