Played with Bernie. Cold breeze to start, but eventually the sun came out and the temps got to the high 40s. At least a one club wind, though many times needing to go up two clubs. Played well overall. Couple of real nice up and downs, one of which was a pitch from 20 yards that hit pin at slow enough speed, but it dropped and stopped an inch away instead of going in. #wasrobbed. Wind on 6th was dead into us on tee. Playing 172. Normally hit 5 iron in winter there. Bernie hit 3W and came up 50 yards right and short. After seeing that, I pulled hybrid and hit it dead nuts to 5 yards long on the green. 4 iron wouldn't have reached the green. At least, not with ME swinging it.
Aside: Just noticed my new World Handicap Index was changed to 4.8. WTF? It was 5.1 when the season ended, before this new system was introduced. Stole another stroke from my WM course handicap. Only 6 strokes now.
