Played with Bernie. 45 and partly cloudy. 5-10 mph. Continue to hit the ball well. Sharp with driver today. Only missed three fairways. One ended up only slightly left off 18th tee, in short rough. The second put me in the high stuff on the rightside of 14, but I hit a great 5i out of it, unfortunately into the right greenside bunker. However, I got it to a foot from the bunker and saved par. The third fairway miss was also a slight over-draw on par 5 9th, ending just into left rough.
Tried out my new 818H2 #4 hybrid today for the first time, but played it in addition to my 4 iron. Had 15 clubs in bag. Out of season, so good time to make comparisons. Hit an awesome approach shot out of deep crap on left side of 9th. (Snap hooked my 2nd shot on the par 5 into that crap, so still had about 170 to the hole.) Hit it dead straight at the pin and onto the green, despite the tough lie. Could have never gotten my 4 iron out of that deep shit. On the other hand, hit my 4 iron really well on a few other occasions today. I really don't want to give up the 4 iron to play the H2, so I'll just have to platoon them. I love the way I hit them both. Decisions, decisions.
