Played with Mark. He paid for me (because I regripped his clubs). We were paired with a couple nice Korean ladies, and frankly, had no problem. They played along just fine. Oki and Beeda. Both had decent games.
Little Bennett was in pretty decent shape. The greens were very fast even though it looks like they were aerated not too long ago. Felt even faster than Worthington, just not as smooth.
Overall, played well, but had a couple/few bad holes, and some bad luck here or there. Two, somewhat fat shots got me in trouble both times. Also had at least two near perfect approach shots. One, on 9th after a long drive which reached the end of the fairway, hit an 8i approach dead at the pin from 150 out. Almost flew it into the cup. Pitch mark was right beside the hole. Unfortunately, the ball hopped about 5 or 6 feet by, leaving me a testy downhiller for bird. Barely tapped it with putter and it rolled slowly down the slope staying right online until 1" before the hole, where it stopped short of going in.
On that crazy, very steep downhill par 3, 3rd, had a RF reading of 144y to the pin. Played a 120-yard, full pitching wedge and landed it 12 feet right of the hole, pin high. It's really a steep drop from the tee.
Driver was good on the front for the most part, but pushed a few right on the back, with one bad slice into trees on par 5 14th. Just didn't finish the swing. Hit a punch 4i under trees what seemed to be perfectly, but caught a low branch on the very last tree it had to clear, knocking it down, but into the fairway, about a 80 yards from where I hit it, and still 260 out. Had that cleared the last branch, I think I would have been about 160 out. Then hit a great 4 hybrid leaving me 40 yards to the pin. Sadly, I made a poor wedge choice for the next shot, going with a chipitch-style 54* rather than a 58* pitch. I got such good check with the new 54 that it stopped 15 feet short of the green. Pin was in front, two-paces on, so tried another one hop and stop chip with the 54 and it hit a couple yards in front and barely reached the green. 2-putt, double.
Enjoyed the day, and change of venue.
