Course was firm. Rough not an issue except for a few places. Greens very firm and very fast. In some cases, a ball above the hole just could not be stopped.
I actually hit the ball decently. I had one issue on #13 where I took an 8. I hit a good drive. My friend located a Titleist with a red dot and I stupidly just hit the ball rather than check further. It was anther's guy ball who marks his ball somewhat similarly. I took the 2 strokes and then located my ball much closer to the green. I was mentally unhinged at the error and proceeded to chunk my next shot 5 yards into the pond fronting the green. Sigh.
I was 50 yards from the green and took 8. Plus 5 three-putt greens. I never made a single putt longer than 4 feet. My two 1-putt greens were good chips/sand shots with a tap-in.
My next book is "How to Turn A Potentially Decent Round Into a Disaster."
