Paired with a guy named Matt today. Enjoyed playing with him. Younger guy. Commercial real estate attorney. After watching me around the greens early in the round, he asked for my help, and I gave it to him. By the end of the round, he was chipping so much better. He was excited. Hope to play with him again.
Played well overall, but my driver is not working right. Hit lots of fairways, but only felt like I hit 3 or 4 great drives. Left shoulder has been sore. Icing now. That may be wherein my problems off the tee lie right now. Could be subconsciously protecting it. Rest of the game was okay, but long irons not as sharp as in the past. No real poor shots. Just off a bit.
Though I felt okay, out there, my game is still a long way from before Covid shutdown. At least Matt was quite impressed. Of course, he shot over 100, so that doesn't necessarily mean all that much. Everything is relative.
