Played with Bernie and Mark again. They played the white tees, I played the blues. Greens were aerated and heavily sanded. Some holes looked like we were putting in a bunker. Consequently, short putts were generally conceded.
Played well for the most part. Driver still not right, but had some good ones, for sure. On 2nd hit my drive over the left fairway bunker, but the slight draw on it bounced it in the hazard area. So penalty. Still made bogey though.
Got up and down twice from greenside bunkers again today. One to 2 inches, on the 7th. Bunker play has been great the past few weeks. Found something making me much more comfortable and have been getting up and down over this stretch more than any time in the past that I can remember. Wonder how long THIS will last. Confidence is up, for now.
Unfortunately, with the generous gimmes, can't enter this score to MSGA, but happy just the same. If I could only get my driver distance average back up, Id be back on track. I know the distance is still there, because I have a bunch of great ones to prove it. Outdrove my partners yesterday on my better drives, even though they were playing whites and I was playing blues. I love pissing them off like that!
