Played with Bernie and Mark. They wanted to play silver tees. It was too short as far as I was concerned. The gold tees would have been the right length. They were more in between whites and blues. But I wanted to pllay from where they were playing. So the silvers it was. I had many drives 40-50 yards ahead of theirs. On the 18th, my drive left me 50 yards from the pin and only 40 yards the front of the green. It says it's 344 from the silver tees. I hit it well, but I would've had to have hit it 290 to be 50 yards out from the center of the green. I don't think I did but, maybe I hit it better than I thought.
Greens were slow compared to Musket the other day, and even slower compared to Worthington. Took me awhile to figure them out. Started out quite poorly, but got it together early.
Had a shot at eagle on 17, but long slow lag putt came up way short. Made a nice 6' breaker for the bird.
I enjoyed Challendon. Not too difficult, but from further back tees, still can be a challenge. I did not have my best game today, but it wasn't bad. One penalty on the 2nd was the result of an errant pulled drive and resulted in double.
