Windy. At times gusting 25-30. Seemed like every hole we were fighting the wind to a certain extent. Even the few holes that typically have helping winds had cross winds today. 6525 yrds felt more like 7525.
Despite the wind, played some decent golf. Feel like the wind added 3-4 extra strokes. Pulled driver a few times, over-swinging, due to the wind getting in my head. Swing easy when it's breezy is easy to say, but harder to do.
Doubled 17th. That hurt. What's worse is that I thought I hit a great tee shot. Pin was in the back left, playing 205. Flushed a 21 degree hybrid, right at the pin, but the wind worked it over maybe 3 yards to the left of my line. It landed a foot or two left of the green and bounced hard left into the huge bunker. With no wind, that thing would have landed middle green and rolled out to pin high. Tough bunker shot. Made it out and up near the green, but still had wedge work to do. Then two putts for 5.
