70's, sunny, slight breeze ... perfect.
The course was in great shape. The fairways were firm, the rough healthy and the green decent, if a bit firm.
I had given up on my golf game. The past 2 1/2 months have been a miserable time on the course. I shot so many 95-110 score rounds it was ridiculous. I stopped posting scores to SkyGolf because I was going to quit playing if I could not break 100.
Our tournament season started and my goal was to try to get a score in the 80's. I managed an 89 and then 88 so at least when I really tried to score, I could keep it under 90.
My hope is this round is a sign that I might be able to score in the 70's some day in the future. It did not happen this day but I was finally driving the ball decently and hit a few greens. We shall see if this is a turning point or just another false hope.
