Around 90 degrees, sunny and humid. Virtually no wind.
Course was soft/plush/ Rough not long but thick. Greens were very quick and fairly firm. Even with a wedge it was hard not to have the ball release.
I was cruising, especially on the back nine. Hit the #1 handicap hole in regulation (#10) and had just made a sand save par on #13. Put the drive in a perfect spot on #14 and then everything began to unravel. Capped off by a "7" on a par 3 after drowning the tee shot, pured my shot from the front of the tee over the green and then a 3-putt. Oy vey!
Maye I as nervous. Maybe I was worn out by the heat and 5 hours, 20 minutes on the course. Well, I played like a champ for 13 holes. Tomorrow I need to finish.
