Cool, cloudy with little wind. Played a blend at about 6,050 yards.
Course was soggy. Rough long and wet. Greens slightly slower than normal and still bumpy/sandy from aeration a week or so ago.
I did not hit the ball well and no aspect of my game was clicking. The one pleasant surprise was #18. I hit a well struck drive up the right side. A cart path parallels the fairway and I must have hopped on to the path after the first bounce. My approach shot was from 135 yards so my drive was in the range of 300 yards on a wet soggy course. I used to try to hit that same shot (right side with a slight draw) to capture the cart path but over the past several years I stopped trying since I so rarely succeeded. If the ball doesn't draw or starts too far right, one can get tangled up in a couple of pines trees.
