Started at 61°, overcast skies and a stiff 15 MPH breeze out of the Southwest. Played from the very back tees (I guess I'm a masochist) since I hadn't played from back there in over 8 years and thought (rightfully) that it would be a different course and offer new challenges. What I neglected to factor in was the wind and it's affect on the ball from that distance. It was really a pretty good challenge for me, physically and mentally. My driver was "golden" today but I struggled in other areas. My putting was suspect for some reason and my iron play was pathetic. Tomorrow is a day of rest for me, so I'll spend it dissecting my iron shots and see what I come up with. I did manage to hit some really nice iron shots but just failed to capitalize on them. Though it was difficult I had a good time and may try it again. It was a nice learning experience.
