I have been recovering from a bad summer cold. I did not feel great all day. I hit a poor tee shot on the first hole (#4) but managed to hit the green with a fairway wood and save par, Rolled along with just one bogey when I made a birdie putt from about 15 feet on #10. So I was even after 7 holes.
#11 was playing about 180 yards to a back pin and around a 10 mph breeze directly in our faces. I hit a 7 wood on the nose but the breeze held it back just enough so it hit about 2 yards short of the green where it stopped, then slowly gained momentum as it rolled down the steep hill fronting the green. I ended up 30 yards short and down in the valley. Pitched on to 20 feet and promptly 3-putted for a double. From that point onward I made all sorts of marginal shots and missed a couple 3 foot putts. Not a good day. Maybe next time.
